Playtest Agreement

Between Schorl Dynamics, LLC and you, covering your participation in the playtest of The Stope.

What's confidential

Please don't share any of the following:

The game itself — story, characters, puzzles, endings, mechanics, and how it all works
Access credentials — your playtest URL, access key, or login
Playtest details — how many testers there are, what build you're on, what we're testing

You're welcome to tell people you're playtesting a game called The Stope. Just don't share specifics about what's in it or how it works.

No recording or streaming

Please don't livestream, screen-record, screenshot, or otherwise capture and share the game. This includes social media posts with game content visible.

Feedback

If you send us bug reports, suggestions, or ideas, we can use them freely — no compensation or attribution required. We appreciate every piece of feedback and want to use it without either of us worrying about IP entanglements.

The game is unfinished

You're playing a work in progress. It will have bugs. Things will break. We're not liable for anything that goes wrong during the playtest, and we make no promises about the final product.

This agreement is in effect from when you accept it until we publicly release the game or tell you in writing that you're released from it — whichever comes first.

Governed by the laws of the State of California.
